Student Artist Q & A

Sage, age 9, attends Wood Gormley Elementary.

What title would you give this picture?

Sunset at the Lily Pad Pond

What materials did you use to make your art piece?

Paper, Outlining Pen, Alcohol Markers. I used a shading technique to create the sunset effect.

What do you like most about doing art?

There are infinite things to create and my imagination is limitless. I love expressing my creativity.

What would you like other Tumbleweeds Magazine kid to know about you?

I hear kids in my class say often, “I’m not good at art or drawing.” I always tell them that everyone is good at art in their own unique way. It’s impossible to be a bad artist. Even my baby brother, who draws scribbles is a good artist in his own way.
